The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? I always thought that it was the relatively recent, "Hot Wheels" trend. Preferred by those of a certain age generation. I never thought that it was an ethnicity thing. Am I wrong?
And once again, another classic ruined by ghetto wheels. Luckily it's just a bolt on fix, so go find some period correct Cragar wheels and voila, much better look and stance.
We had the '59 Bel Air in metallic aspen green, a much prettier car. Just compare the tail light shape and the car's overall curvacious vs angled lines. The dashboard instrument cowels would deliver a frontal lobotomy in a collision. Talk about trunk space... Atom Tom
Nothin like a car with a trunk that you can put a half dozen or so bodies in with an engine that can still haul ass with all that weight if it needs to.
Similar lines to my old 64 Dodge Custom 880 two door hardtop. At one point had both the 63 and 64 that were originally owned by my Great Aunt. Sold them after a few moves with the military. Wish I still had them.
When I was a kid, I liked the jet on the side. Now that I'm an adult USAF veteran, I like the jet on the side, along with many other things about those old Impalas.
To be fair, they never made them quite like this in the first place.

My dad had a light blue 59 El Camino and my mom had a bright red 60 Impala 4 dr. I liked just about all cars in that era. Much more so than today.

Dad would go to the gas station across the street to save a penny or two a gallon. Things were different then, not all bad, and not all better.
