And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Pretty gun, but I cannot determine what it is other than a .22 cal - Belay that, found it listed and it is far too expensive for me to acquire - 1920's vintage Reising. Sure is pretty though.
The box says smokeless not seamless. The 22 Long Rifle began as a black powder cartridge in the 1880s based on the earlier 22 Long and 22 Short. Smokeless powder eventually replaced black powder because it burns cleaner. The 22LR uses lead bullets which need to be greased, waxed or plated to prevent fouling the barrel. The Reising looks nice but I'll stick with my High Standard Supermatic. Al_in_Ottawa
I still have a partial box of CIL .22 'Whiz Bangs' They had shot the size of ground pepper. Box of 50 was from Canadian Tire and the price tag is $1.70! Partial to my Beretta 76 with walnut target grips. Steve_in_Ottawa
The Reising makes sense - one of their carbines has a very similar barrel - receiver profile. That radius is the giveaway for me. Very nice choice of background - brown plaid goes well with the grip and leather sheath colors
Yes! Just the bare essentials.
