And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Ouch! I think the driver was more or less ok, and not cut in half, since I see his hand reach down and turn the ignition off.
My dad was a traveling salesman and ran across an accident like this right after it happened. A guy was laying down in the backseat of the car with is baby. His wife and mother were in the front seat. They both lost there heads from the cable. He was able to jump up and save the car from crashing. That's all he had to say about.
wow. i was in a high liability business but i can't even imagine the legal shitstorm this unleashed.
