And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Not a fan of any pretentious town like Palm Springs and the rich folks who live and visit there, but the desert (29 Palms and similar to the north) are SPECTACULAR places to view the ENTIRE Milky Way. Especially nice under the influence of certain things. Few similar views on earth. The Anza Borrego Desert north of San Diego is another. I really miss those views...but NOT California one bit otherwise.

ReplyDeleteIt doesn't rain much, so the white painted roofs simply reflect the sun, keep it all cool, and have very little to do with regards to rain.
