And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Love these classics. Pulled a lot of cold drinks over the years out of Colemans like that one.
I've still got one of those! An old green one that's still in decent condition. It's been to a lot of vacation trips and sailboat excursions over the decades. We still use it if we need one smaller than the 52 Qt Igloo that fills up most of the trunk.
We also have ours... though it's brownish tan... with accessories; shelf, tray for ice, and metal feet to set it up right to use like a little fridge...
I pretty much lived out of a dark green Coleman cooler like that for twenty years when I was camped away from home while working in the woods. It became a loyal friend.

ReplyDeleteAm I seeing a surfboard on the roof? And a cowboy hat on the dash? I am confused.
ReplyDeleteNutt’en confused about that. They are not mutually exclusive ya know.
DeleteOn the beaches of the West Coast where I used to hang out, there were NO cowboys among the surfers. And certainly, no surfers among the cowboys.
DeleteAll of mine rusted out decades ago. But I do still fond memories of drinks and fish.

ReplyDeleteHave a silver one the must be 30 years old. God bless Coleman for making parts available! Sure wish I'd have kept one of my old wagoneers. . .
