And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, CVN-69 from Helo above. Guys are strapped in so not so high a pucker factor. Relatively recent photo, mostly F-18s aboard. Not sure what they are doing with the cable, it looks like there are people in the harness at the end. Delivering VIPs the hard way?
That cable isn't hanging from the hoist. We used to drop pax off via hoist on small boys, never at that distance. I wonder if this is an example of using the cargo hook to move personnel? I can't really see what is on the end of the cable, it reminds me of a 'free stream recovery' of the SONAR dome. Ret 7871/7872/7873 AW.
