Let's go out for root beers

  1. Looks like early to mod-sixties. My first car was very similar to one of those.

    1. Has to be 1965 at least. The car on the right has curved windows, and the maroon Chevy in front looks like a 1966-67 Impala.

  3. An old fashion Water/Swamp cooler on the roof. They worked great in a dryish climate.

  7. I have a couple BBQ's, some onion rings deep fried in lard and a large Root Beer in the frosted mug. Put the food in one of the red baskets with the wax paper. And hang it on the window.

  8. When I lived in the PA - NJ area, there was Stewart's Root Beer stands. What a delight!!!

  9. That was the destination. Bring home a gallon of their great root beer. Nothing better back then.

  12. My mother used to buy cola syrup and club soda & make soda pop. Does anyone remember Fizzies? Putting them on your tongue and dumb stuff like that? There was an A&W root beer joint down from my house, used to go there with siblings.
