And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I had the GL500 Silver Wing version of that. I rode it a lot of places, including from Kansas City to VA and back, via the Blue Ridge Parkway, NC and TN. It wasn't too uncomfortable. I made it from KC to St Louis after work on a Friday, then from St Louis to Lexington VA the next day. The only bad thing about it was the RPMs. 7000 RPM at 70 mph.
Honda CX650 from the late '70s early '80s. A buddy had one and loved it, but Honda didn't sell very many.

ReplyDeleteTurbo 650 version is rare. I never cared much for the design, reminded me of an air compressor.
