And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
How about presenting something I want to eat? Had a couple of guests here some years ago who raved about the presentation of a meal they had at a local restaurant while stuffing their faces with my wife's outstanding cooking. Damn near threw them out but they've never been invited back.
Looks like a similar meal I was presented with at a little hole in the wall ocean side restaurant on the west end of Puerto Rico 40 or so years ago. The fish was a grilled 14" snapper. Hung over both sides of the plate. I couldn't even eat a quarter of it. Since I was just visiting, I assume the rest went in the trash.

ReplyDeleteFirst-time I had catfish with my wife she asked where the head was. In the freaking garbage can where it belongs. Tail maybe but head NO
