And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Yukon throws his axe into the air, and after it strikes the ground, he licks it and says, "Peppermint! What I've been searching for all my life! I've struck it rich. I've got me a peppermint mine ... Wahoooo!"
CBS recently restored the special to it's full 90 minutes and put back in the scene at the end that showed that Yukon was in fact looking for a peppermint mine. If you pay attention there are actually 3 different version of the special. The second year they showed it they added in Santa distributing the denizens of the Island of Misfit Toys which inadvertently led to The Swimming Bird Death Plunge.
