And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
You're not alone. Might be an issue of scale, or that I'm so used to the light pollution where I live, that I can't pick things out any more. But I know what Orion looks like, and I can see 6 of its stars from my front porch.
If the brightest star there (SE corner) is Canis Major, then Orion should be easy to spot, relative to that, but I still can't find it.

I see a tree loaded with snow and stars above but I don't Orion or the rest of those guys.
