And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
There were several huge steel mills north of Philadelphia where many of my friends worked... as did their fathers and their grandfathers. They sure had interesting stories to tell.
My buddies at the mill called them torpedo cars. They put them directly under the blast furnace tap to catch the molten metal, moving them with a yard locomotive.

ReplyDeleteKnew a guy who worked for a Company that trucked molton Aluminum from Indiana to Pittsburgh. Imagine that road accident.
