We put the whole ear on the grill, husk, silk all of it. Just the way it came out of the field. Cover it with a wet burlap bag and let it cook that way. When it's done peel, the husk back, get as much silk off as you can and dip the ear in a coffee can of melted butter, salt it down and if you aren't happy with that, there just ain't no pleasing you.
