And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

I subscribed to Astounding (then Analog) from the 60's to the early 70's when the stories became more "relevant". I had bought them off the news stands in the late 50's. I threw them all away at some point but I wish I hadn't. My wife wonders why I never throw anything away. This is one reason. You'll want it or need it one of these days.
I'm always searching for Sci fi books that hold appeal for me in today's world, but I always just seem to go back and re read the first 3 foundation books. Nothing new satisfies.
