  1. The tail end of the age of hard science fiction, just before the British New Wave showed up and wrecked the genre. The Brits were awake before woke, doctrinaire antiscience, and enamored of monsters. Luckily, Holywood ignored them.

  2. I subscribed to Astounding (then Analog) from the 60's to the early 70's when the stories became more "relevant". I had bought them off the news stands in the late 50's. I threw them all away at some point but I wish I hadn't. My wife wonders why I never throw anything away. This is one reason. You'll want it or need it one of these days.

  3. I'm always searching for Sci fi books that hold appeal for me in today's world, but I always just seem to go back and re read the first 3 foundation books. Nothing new satisfies.

  6. Leinster was a huge SciFi author, mostly short stories adapted for radio.
