And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Just watched it again tonight after many years. Holds together pretty well as a movie, but Jackie Bisset, ooh la la. They should have done more with their dialog.
I also just watched it last fall and I agree, it's actually a pretty good movie. The plot is something that could easily be made today (but please don't remake it). Of course, the spectacular car chase is just icing on the cake.
Why would they? There's no sex scenes, can't even remember anyone cussing.

ReplyDeleteThe movie they built around the best car chase scene ever. When they show the stunt drivers/actors buckling up, you know it's gonna be good!
