And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
They were popular up in NH where I grew up. Figure now looking back, not many 4wd utility vehicles with a bed for hauling, along with a local area dealership that pushed sales. Many had 5ft manual plows. They rotted away pretty quickly after the state began salting instead of sanding the roads. Pretty cool trucks, always liked their style odd looking as they were, you just knew they got the job done.
Someone in Oakland, TN owns one of these critters. Saw it yesterday wilst delivering a car home after a stint in the shop. I had never seen such a model afore. I shoulda took pictures.
Jeep FC-150 short wheelbase Forward Control. Hard to determine the year, somewhere between 1956 and 1965. Built on CJ 5 chassis.
ReplyDeleteWant. They climb like a goat in 4WD- much better than even a CJ-5 - something to do with center of gravity on front axle. (From an M38A1 owner.)
DeleteMust be rare.
ReplyDeleteone for sale about six years ago here in NE NC.
ReplyDeleteSaw one of these at a car show locally here in WA a couple months back.

ReplyDeleteDad had one when I was a kid- about 7. Baby blue, I always thought it was gonna flip forward if he broke to hard!
