Why don't they make stuff like this anymore. I know - cost.

  2. Some companies do make vintage look radios with AM/FM and Bluetooth.
    Do a web search for antique look radio and you will see a number of styles.

  3. Cost does not equal value. A $500 radio that lasts 100yrs works out to $5 a year. Inversely, that $50 radio years ago will get you $500 100yrs later. That radio, a Silver 159 "Circle" is very rare. Quality examples sell for $2-3K in serviceable condition. Schematics are still available, as well as some aftermarket replacement parts.
