And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Would a stick through the lifted handles work too ? Or even a loop of rope ? That does appear to be a handy way to move a heavy load, as long as your shoulders are healthy enough to do it. Ammo be HEAVY !
+1 I have 2 metal bars with a J hook on each end. Each metal bar end will attach to a handle so that two ammo boxes can be carried at the same time. If I have two full ammo boxes they are a handful.
Price has only gone up $10 in the 8yrs since I bought them. They can be heavy combined, but the individual boxes are easily lifted with the base weighing near nothing. Very sturdy, with one filled with 45ACP falling off the 3rd stack and not breaking or cracking (no word on the concrete floor though...). They also fit nicely in the Decked system in my truck bed.
"But who needs that much ammo? There's no reason that anyone who isn't a terrorist or a mass murderer to have any more than 200 bullets." -Every gun-controller everywhere
And on a more serious note, no, I'm not going to even hint at how much ammo I have tucked away. None'o your bidness.
What's the point of the "tray" part? An ammo can with 1000 rds of 5.56 weighs 27 lbs, so 4 is more than 100lbs and nobody is going to move that very far.
My ammo cans are stacked in a steel cabinet and are moved 1 or 2 at a time, but mostly they stay where they are. No plastic tray necessary.

ReplyDeleteGood idea but a little too heavy when filled with ammo. I can't hardly lift one full.
