    3. Ghost, I think you're an older guy like me. Maybe too old to get a pup, don't want die and "abandon" it to the tender mercies of potential ass holes. I cry like girl whenever I lose another dog. People, not so much.
There are plenty of awesome older mutts that need adoption. We have 4 mutts, the youngest is a Malinois male. We got him as a pup, now I'm committed to live to 82 ish, 2031 ish. I have recently gotten "sudden onset high blood pressure"(my diagnosis) this week. I'm starting to worry about my dogs. I'm not worried about me "crossing over", just the wife and dogs. Now I got to call a damn doctor. FUCK!
Oh yeah, check into an older dog, soul soother. Make and model are secondary to attitude.

    4. Everything you said is correct Mike. I gotta get over the last one before I think about the next one. I'm 70 and have high blood pressure and take a daily pill for it. I swore this one would be my last but she went sooner than I expected, so...

  4. I got 4 dogs. The Pyrenees is a smiler yet she can frown if she isn't happy. The 110 lb German sheperd never leaves my side. They are the outside alarms. The mini fox terrier and the jack russell mix are the inside house alarms.

  5. 40 years ago, my client & late friend Bryant Church (N. Wilkesboro, NC) brought four back from Aussieland. They patrolled his huge lumberyard during the day. He'd drive his S-10 over the hill around 10PM with the two males to ensure no small theft. With a 30-06 & .44 Mag.

Great dogs. But, prefer our ferocious Maltipoos. 10 & 13 lbs. of terror./sarc

  6. Got a couple of those compact salt & pepper heelers in my 'hood. Sweet & fun pups. They get along fine with our border collie / pyrenees mix.
