And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The Chopard L.U.C Full Strike watch & its sonnerie mechanism in slow motion
I feel so lucky. When I retired in 2010, I put my several wristwatches in the dresser and have not looked at them again. If I need to tell the time, I either look at the microwave, the clock on the stove or the schoolhouse clock over the kitchen sink. If I am away from home, I just look at my cellphone.

ReplyDeleteWith this watch, John, it isn't about telling time. Same reason people buy a Bentley or BMW when a Kia will get you there just as well.
DeleteRoger your last Annie.
Delete780,000 Swiss Francs equals 964,002 US dollars.
ReplyDeleteGimme two to go!
780,000 Swiss Francs = 2,533.08 ounces of gold (based on the current price of 3,285.17 Swiss Francs per ounce).
ReplyDeleteThis calculation is based on the latest available gold prices
Wow, I expect such a watch buyer has bodyguards.
...Take a check?
ReplyDeleteMy, "it takes a licking and keeps on ticking", Timex back in the 1970s cost $15 and it tells the time.
ReplyDeleteWhat, no commish on that one?
ReplyDeleteI would not trust that it's manufactured in Switzerland.
ReplyDeleteIt was recently reveled that Rolex is a Chinese product.
Thats just too much money for that.
ReplyDeleteI would agree, for me. But willing buyer, willing seller, it's their opinions that count in the end.
DeleteI just would be ... incentivised ... to try to find a way around the VAT, sales, or other tax burden on the purchase.
