Thanksgiving gas prices fall to lowest levels since pandemic, with nearly 30 states below $3 a gallon

Not where I am, but they are significantly and surprisingly lower than they have been.

GasBuddy forecasts a national average of $3.02 per gallon over the holiday, matching last year’s price. Both 2024 and 2025 now share the distinction of marking the lowest Thanksgiving gas prices since the pandemic, when the national average hit $3.39 a gallon in 2021 and $3.56 in 2022.

  1. Not in WA State, where the Democrats enacted a series of gas taxes such that WA State is one of the highest in the nation now.

    1. If the state used the extra funds to rebuild failing bridges and roads, I’d be on board. But they don’t. The extra tax disappears into a big black hole of bogus energy-saving programs and consumer education. Of all our taxes, the gas tax is the biggest boondoggle of them all.

    2. The price of gas near Sea-Tac we saw after we landed last night, is literally double what we say when driving to our home airport.

    1. Sure wish I could get it around here without driving two hours to get it. My power equipment would greatly appreciate it.

  12. Today $3.24 on the rez in AZ. Was $3.04 for last two months. Before that, held at $2.98 for a year. The rez is usually the least expensive. The next lowest at walmart $3.31.

I think its because the CA refineries closing.
