And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Now that you mention it, I had one of those that I procured new in 1969. I used it extensively for the next 20 years and then stored it way in the original box for another 25 years. When I moved back to Colorado in 2017, I broke it out and began using it in my pottery studio. It lasted about another year and after it went on the fritz, I dumped it.
I wonder if storing cassette tapes on an outside wall is bad for them?
