This is the design originally issued in 1987. There is a modified version issued in 2021. In my opinion the 1987 version is better.
The Cook Islands are a self-governing country that is freely associated with the New Zealand. It contains fifteen islands and has land and ocean combined.
I can certainly do without nudity on my currency. Also, that can't be comfortable.

Many cultures have not been cursed with Roman Catholic (and/or fundamental Christian) guilt over naked bodies. They just don't think that it is a big deal to see tits or bare bottoms.

ReplyDeleteThe 1916 United States Standing Liberty Quarter featured Lady Liberty with her right breast exposed a shield covered her left. As you can imagine public outcry caused the design to be changed the next year.
