And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? Should put a towel or something down before resting that on a rusty fender
Likely a modern copy of the Henry 1860 rifle, most likely in 45 Colt or other cartridge. They were mostly chambered in a 44 Henry rimfire round back in the day. There was a later improved model as the Winchester 1866 "Yellow Boy", still with the brass/bronze receiver and chambering. Some Cowboy Action shooters use the modern replicas.
load it on sunday and shoot all week
ReplyDeletegolden boy
That would be handy in 357, 44 or 45 Colt. 357 would handle everything in my neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteYeah... don't scratch the patina!
ReplyDeleteThat's how you create patina on the gun.
ReplyDeleteThat stock on that rifle is big time gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteMake and model please.
ReplyDeleteI"m guessing Sharps or maybe an early Winchester?
ReplyDeleteHenry ... as GhostSniper said above, "Load it on Sunday and shoot it all week"
