    1. That'd be my guess. 3 throttles, 3 mixtures, no prop control so fixed pitch props, old style NC registration number. No prop out the windshield but it may be horizontal. Updated radios & transponder in the console & add on mic buttons on the yoke wheels....

  2. It is the Ford Trimotor NC9645 that is leased to the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association).

    1. I paid the extra money to ride right front seat in that very aircraft at Port Clinton a few years ago and it was worth every penny. I asked the pilot how many people on the planet were still type rated in those anymore and he said between 25 and 30 and he knew most of them personally. A very small community indeed.

  5. there was one that use to fly passengers over the Grand Canyon in the 70's out of Vegas.
    i was lucky enough to make the trip in 76,it was loud.
