And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
In '93 we landed in Paducah for fuel (a CG helo out of Chicago), we were down for the floods, it was freezing cold and I remember the guy pumping the gas was really cold & having a hard time keeping the nozzle on the can of cold weather additive (going in with the jet fuel) pushed in. I think of that every time I see Paducah mentioned.
