Jimmy bought me a steak dinner once, in absentia. Late one Sunday night the DJ said he had a certificate for dinner at a steakhouse and would give it to the caller who had the best song about food. I called in and said I had a two-fer for him. Cheeseburger in Paradise by Jimmy Buf-fay. The DJ snorted and declared me the winner on the spot. I got a porterhouse that was cooked perfectly. Thanks, Jimmy, it was delicious.

ReplyDeleteI knew Jimmy well, as his flight department was next door to ours. Great guy, loved his sea planes.
