And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Bill Hickman (the driver and stunt coordinator) said he picked the Chargers because their suspension was sturdy enough to use, stock, and that the transmission and drivetrain was really the same, bulletproof without requiring mods to do the stunt work.
Remember us kids seeing it on the big screen, had to bring a parent's note to get in, we must if talked about the chase a good year plus. It was back then totally thrilling to see.

DeleteThe Mustang would have never caught the Charger. Chargers were really good at going straight, but had problems with the curves.

ReplyDeleteFinally watched the entire movie a couple of months ago and I came away very impressed. It's a damn good movie with an awesome car chase.
