  4. Old 008, soldiered on in flight test for decades. Retired when they couldn't gets parts anymore for a B52-B.

  5. Walked under one of the two(?) B-52's modified to launch X-15 two days ago at the Pima Air and Space Museum south of Tucson. Well worth the time to visit if you are in the area. We did 5+ hours just at the main museum collection. And if you have time - go tour the Titan missile silo south of town, too.

  6. Pima has NB-52A, tail # 52-0003. NB-52B 52-0008 was a gate guard at Edwards AFB last I knew.

  7. The museum at Castle (ex SAC AFB) at Atwater, CA has a genuine B-52 cockpit you can sit in. A docent can explain all the knobs, levers, and buttons if need be.
