  1. My dad found a real one in the ditch about 70 years ago. I still have it.

    1. "The" ditch or "a" ditch. The differences are distinctive, not to mention important to fishers of ditches.

  2. I have one of these in about this same condition....the difference being that mine has to be 80-100 years old (I inherited mine from my grandfather) and this is a new creel sold on Amazon. I'd like to display mine, but the Lovely Mrs azlib wants a more contemporary look, so it lives behind a cabinet door. I'm keeping it though. I see it as a tangible connection across my family's generations. When I go, the kids and/or grandkids can decide if it carries the same meaning.

  3. Only way to carry trouts, piece of rock moss or fine spruce buds wetted up, they keep better than any creel I tried. Plus they are great for carrying lots of things.

  4. My Dad had one exactly like that. Don't know whatever happened to it.
