Nice Tidy Woodpile

  1. While nice looking and seeing the "cute" log style planters very trendy.

How do you plan on keeping the bugs aka ants+ out of your house?

Termites love nesting in woodpiles in my area.

A few steps away is better.

    1. Burn it all up before spring and don't replace it until fall. I've made that mistake before. Also had my firewood too close to the compost pile in the summer. Pack rats stashed the vegetable peels and egg shells in there.

    2. In rural Pennsylvania, having the woodpile that close to the abode, termites invade and wreck everything.

  2. A pretty wood pile warms you better than an ugly wood pile. It's science.

  3. When the wood pile is empty, you can burn the log cabin.

  4. I'm so tired cutting splitting and stacking, my wife does the final work making it all fit nice and tight in the racks. We only drag in enough for the day and night, too many bugs otherwise, don't like those Recluse spiders, one chewed on my wife's calf all night, took years to heal, then had to cut out the wound cause it became cancer.
