And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Someone said, "I know, let's get two gliders, I'll climb on the roof of one, and...."
Sailplanes, mate. I've got an hour in a two place trainer. Lots of fun. Quiet, no engine sound. Was supposed to be a half hour intro flight, but the instructor wanted to catch some thermals and I got the bonus.
Yep, a great way to fly. My dad was a club founding member way back about 1930 and I got to ride a bit in both gliders and tow planes. He crashed a mates glider and wrote it off but it was found the glue in the spars was coming apart so he did his mate a favour. Generally good times.
