  1. Must have had a hard life in the African bush. Beautiful example.

  2. Not one you'd find as a 'truck gun' on the rack in the pick up.

  3. true story:
friend hunted in Africa some years, his hunting partner passed away. the family asked him to bring the partner's rifle to them in another state. on the way he calls another friend, says he'll be passing through, I'll overnight at your place and we can shoot this beautiful rifle ( an English bolt action of large caliber made to hunt dangerous game in Africa). in the morning my friend gives him the rifle, he takes it and gets in a flat footed stance, his feet apart, linear to the plane of the target. he pulls the trigger and gets knocked backward into what develops as a sitting position. on the way down in one move he hands my friend the rifle.

  4. Probably made for a wealthy customer from India. Post WWII, Westley Richards survived by buying back guns from India, reconditioning them and selling them in the USA.

  6. I am intrigued;is a shot gun or big bore rifle? There are what look like ranging sights on it;100Yds. ans 150Yds. That wouldn't be for shot.
