  1. That kind of looks its a Brit Harrier, they had that cut down raw look about them.

  2. It was such a small jet, had to be blistering fast at or bellow mach1. Those RR Spey engines they used are nice units.

    1. You're thinking of the British F4 Phantoms which had RR Speys in a staggered mounting to fit inside the fuselage. The Harrier uses the slightly larger Pegasus. The Royal Navy invented the ski jump deck for the Harrier so it can take off with a greater load. The USMC has stuck to traditional flat tops.

    2. The USMC developed the Harrier, including a new wing, and following those developments the performance and capability were greatly enhanced.
