  3. Tacoma 5K seervice Moinday. 30ish female was at a service desk. Her Corolla had 70K, she said. Brakes screeching. Tech looked at the pads. Metal on metal.

    1. Back in '13, I bought a "Certified" used '13 Corolla with about 40k on it. It needed front pads, bad, and a front-end alignment. It was a lot of miles for a year-old car but my son's still driving it. "Certified", Ha. But they fixed it under warranty.

  4. I had a caliper seize and by the time I got home I could punch a finger through the disc like it was made of aluminum foil. I was young and broke. Just had to get home to repair it myself

  5. I bought a used Subaru and stopped at a traffic light. When I took my foot off the brake the brake pad fell out on the front right. That was just the beginning.
