And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The fireplace is in the middle of the room, you know it's cold there in the winter. There used to be DIY plans (a PDF) for a Siberian stove on-line thru the Missouri extension service.
Wasn't this a paint-by-number image from the 60's or 70's? I had a grandfather who literally cleaned ditches and trapped for fur for a living - but did paint-by-number projects to relax. That image brought up an immediate memory of one of his paintings. And might explain the 'bold' color usage. (I'm not an arty type so no idea of the correct terminology.)
Not a chance its paint by numbers. I painted a bit when younger (build models now to release the pent up skill) and recall the horror of looking at a paint by numbers upon completion.
I have a similar watercolor painting that a German painter did that my parents obtained in Germany in 1947. It is framed and hung on the living room wall.
Thats an amazing painting. Shifts between surrealistic and modified, almost photograph.
