And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Looks like just the thing to get the Montana Daughter this Christmas
No, no, no she'll just do what all cold weather people do. She'll lose it or some of it's multiple useless gew gaws and parts.
Get her the traditional stick with a crappy brush on one end and a plastic scraper on the other. Those things are like 1970s appliances - they last 30 years, and they always work
Also, it will never be lost - just jammed under one of the seats or in a trunk wheel well or similar.
Grew up on a farm and ended up getting myself a grain shovel for scooping snow, after having tried a number of snow shovels. When I did so, the next time my son tried using it he went out and bought one for himself.
Depending on how adventurous she is, she may need a shovel that can move mud too. Some of the more interesting drives here in Montana don't involve a lot of pavement.
I didn't know what they were and had to click the link. I am happy living where we see snow and ice only if we travel North.

Interesting. The CW daughters seem to prefer cold climates.

ReplyDeleteCold hands, warm hearts?
Sorry about the hiccup. I went outside to get an armload of firewood and apparently forgot what I was doing.
DeleteYou know how it is when you get old.
Do I ever! Bet the fire was nice, though.
DeleteIt's been cool enough that I've been keeping the ol' Fisher going almost 24/7.
DeleteIt's time for chili, cornbread, soup and sourdough!

ReplyDeleteThose work great, especially for wet heavy snow that the road plow loads into one's driveway.
DeleteBuy her a plane ticket to Florida.
