  1. Yeah..... um, no. I have no reason to live anywhere on the kommunist left coast. Don't fish and don't have a dog. The politics of the entire area makes it totally not worth living there.

    1. If you got a good loyal dog, a solid surf rod, and a tidy place to live in a small town, you might like it. Politics become background noise if you simplify enough and live your life from that point forward.

    2. Living here does have a downside but getting out and enjoying what the area has to offer is a great benefit in and of itself. The commies are everywhere in this country but they do not, at this point, dictate all aspects of our lives. And much of that is due to us not allowing it too.

    3. I did live in a small town (pop. < 2,000) on the west coast. I had a dog and many surf rods. It got so bad that newcomers from the big city were around every corner. Me and friends all had stories of being followed even to hard to get to spots.

My ranch friends further inland had the same stories. My B-I-L told of being followed down his dirt drive way like it was a public road. Hours spent repairing fence damaged by citidiots traipsing across fields because 'we didn't know'. As if every open field is a public park.

Its not that more people move in. Its that they are often so damn stupid. The good part is most only last a year before they move back to the city. The bad part is there are more behind them. There's more to say but I think you get the jist.

Now I read on the internet about the wonderful vistas and great times to be found at my old home. There was a time that even the next town over didn't know. Now the whole bloody world knows It's depressing.

  2. A dog like that is far too big to cast. You're gonna need a Chihuahua or to chunk it up like finger mullet.

    1. Now that's funny right there. But truthful.

  3. The left coast is not uniformly blue as most envision. The majority of it is as conservative as anywhere else. We are however out voted by the left.
Ignore the libs and enjoy, "I will not comply" is a way of life here.

    1. You're partially correct. My great grandfather moved from Kansas to Cudahy (now Compton) California in 1907 and bought an acre parcel. This area presently is approaching 10,000 people per square mile. Rural areas still exist and are wonderful places to live but the overall scene in Cali, as in many states across America, is dominated by liberal politics. We have just recently sold our home on the beautiful Central Coast and split time now in rural area of Nevada and Wisconsin as the weather dictates,
