And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
You're right Al, we had Harley's Bonneville racer on display in the local Harley shop in the 60's. It didn't have the periscope, but trying to imagine lying in that thing and trying to control it at speed was pretty scary. Now they are running modified street bikes on one mile runs at over 300 mph. I restored an antique 1962 Harley 750KR factory road racer that could top 165mph, and a 1976
1000CR that could pull better than 150, but 300mph on a street bike sounds insane. Bubbarust
gun ports, nice addition. 250cc keeps the project local, I like it.
ReplyDeleteI just bought a 250cc Yamaha ! Looks nothing like that.
ReplyDeleteCC Rider, see what you have done.
ReplyDeleteNACA developed inlets which are far more efficient. I guess those are outlets, aka, gun ports.
ReplyDeleteAll I can find on the internet is a photo from 1965. I think the top scoop is actually a periscope for the rider.
