And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
General Ripper: Variable incidence Wing, one of a kind! I had the good fortune to watch a Navy Reserve Crusader take off from Andrews AFB one day. The pilot stood on the brakes, went to afterburner and the black smoke, flame and deafening roar that shot out of the beast was incredible ! You could feel it in your chest until he cleared the the far end of the runway.
