  3. I hate those obnoxious, self-important assholes who take up 2 places because they don't want their self esteem boosting expensive cars scratched. I hate 'em, but I'm smart enough not to do anything because every square inch of the country is under video surveillance

    1. Put some brake fluid in a squirt gun and adjust their paint job.

  4. I would have parked the jeep just a bit more angled so the POS couldn't back out.

    1. Or much closer to the driver's side door of his plastic midlife-crisis mobile.

  5. Recently sold my garage queen, and one compelling reason was constant concern where to park it, would it get keyed, stolen... Got on my nerves. Add to that pricey regular maintenance as well. Yeah, it was a 'pricks are on the inside' car. It's a relief to just be able to park my old truck anywhere, any time.

  9. bought a ragtop vette once. had it for maybe 10 months. it lived in the garage
the few times I did take it out. I had to worry about parking it anywhere.
one time at my brothers place, it was on the street, top down and kids about 5-6 years old across the street where trying to throw rocks in it (????)
right then I knew I had to get rid of the damn car. got to love philly kids.
not. moved the hell away from that shithole 3 years later.

    1. Left that hell hole 2 years ago. As a rolling stone I’ve been all over, and I can honestly say my extended period of time there was the worst experience I’ve ever had the misfortune to have

  10. I hate it, but I understand. Had a top of the line benz get a 2 inch x 1/2 inch gash in the driver side passenger door not even past 1 month of ownership. People are careless (or spiteful) savages.

I also used a 30 year old Toyota for inner city driving/parking and the carefreeness was a blessing when same savages would beat the hell out of it.

  11. If that was my 'vette, the jeep would have 4 flat tires. You'll never understand until you own one(I've had 4) what assholes people are. I'd go to a mall in Phx and park LITERALLY 100 yards away from any cars in a 3/4 empty parking lot....come out from a movie and there'd be 3 or 4 assholes surrounding me with NO other cars ANYWHERE close. Cruising down the interstate and every mf'r on the road wants to fk with you... would dog you, block you, ride ur ass, and on and on. I've parked on the top of parking garages with NO cars for 3 floors underneath me and come back to find myself surrounded by idiots...with NO cars for 3 floors below me. You'll NEVER understand until you've owned one. It ain't the 'vette guys who are assholes....

    1. Did a black lacquer paint job (many layers of hand sanded paint) on my '71 Mustang Mach 1, 429 SCJ, and brought it out to San Jose area. Park at the far end of a parking lot, and take two spaces, and some clown would leave nasty notes about it, even though the lot would be half empty. That was a $5k+ paint job in '77. When I bought it in NJ, it had a footprint kicked into the rear quarter...

  12. Life: I'm with you. Just out of the army, going to school, working at a fish bar on Seattle's waterfront. Free parking at meters on weekends. I PAY to park my '66 Roadster L-88 in an empty lot across the street so I can keep an eye on it. I'm making $1.35 hr...Some asshole in his huge Lincoln parks next to me and I view him smacking my door with his....
When I got off work, he got more than a ding in his paint, what is wrong with people?...I would always park way out someplace and still do with my Silverado Z-71 LT1...and I have a busted-old-guy-veteran's plate......

  13. Well shoot, as long as I'm here, they still park next to my truck out in the north-south 40's of parking lots.
Then, camping, even in Death Valley, park my Winnie or TT way out away from anyone. Sure enough later I'm surrounded..People are screwy, I've gotten to not liking most of them.
I asked one couple, Oh, we feel safe next to you...I put on a crazy face and told her, "you don't know me?"........................
