And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I've been using one of these for several years. It's a hobby/craft sized saw and is pretty decent for that purpose. I've had no problems getting blades from Timber Wolf or Olson. The 9" Grizzly fills its' niche among a a small herd of a half-dozen or so other saws.
Bandsaw "danger" is really no different than danger from any other power tool. You simply need to adhere to normal safety precautions and pay attention to what you are doing.

ReplyDeleteYou won't be happy with it for long. Too small, in all ways. Yes, I know. Cry once. Get a 14 incher. Hitachi makes 62" blades that are sold at Lowes.

Concur. Remembering that another legitimate term for bandsaw, is meat saw, has always encouraged me to pay attention while using my Rikon.
DeleteMy son wanted a Wen bandsaw for his birthday one year, think it was about 120 bucks? Passable for what it is, but works very well for that price.
