  2. The F-35 Demo Team is in town this weekend (along with the Viper & "Rhino" teams), and, as the aircraft make their turns right over my house, I get plenty of opportunities to hear that engine.
    That M-F is LOUD.

  3. Looking at the stabilator size and wing clearance, that looks like an F-35C. Same basic engine in all three but the F-35B has the swiveling nozzle. I used to work there on that program till I retired and saw the production floor quite often.

  4. Living close to Luke AFB now. Those loud mfers go over two to three times a day and turn it on a few miles out. Largest jet engine ever put into a fighter.

    1. The F-35 Thunderjug is also the largest sinkhole ever installed in the military budget, until the Navy launched the Ford.
