And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
As a wee lad growing up in rural east Tennessee, I actually remember wood burning stoves in the kitchen. It seemed to be a pain in the ass to feed and it was dangerous for a kid like me to be near...HOT HOT HOT. We got an electric stove in the early 1950s and never looked back.
Points awarded for the storage shelf hard up against the ceiling. Use up every bit of cubic storage space you can, especially when not a daily need.
Sliding doors are notorious for leaking rain water through wall. This one has a bit of a curb, but is a tripping hazard if you don't remember it. Still - a nice way to remove door swing clearances, keeping space compact.
Not bad, but whence the electricity and/or gas for the modern appliances? As for the sliding door, if those do leak a lot (which seems plausible) then an extended roof overhang outside should minimize that problem. One of the reasons I like porches.
I could live with it.
