And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I'd thought about one of those, but it's not a one size fixes all solution. I ended up with, well, a bit more. (4 10gal brew pots, 300# steel stand with 3 burners, dual counterflow chiller loops, 2 pumps). Honestly, for the cost and the output quality, a Mr. Beer kit and the instructions followed to the letter, will make just as good a beer as this will. Unless you're dead set on all-grain, and there are still better options out there. Just my opinion.
Pappy's time honored recipe; to a stoneware container add a can of malt and measured amounts of sugar, yeast and water. Place near a constant temperature. "Work time" produced a brew akin to a basic Sam Adams product.
Use to dabble in making my own beer. Finally had to admit that the little brewery across town could make better beer that I ever could at much less time, cost & effort.
You can keep it on the shelf next to your bread machine!

And if you are all set on all grain, try brew in a bag. It was fun for a while, but I got tired of it before I went too crazy.
