And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? Indeed Ciopinno rocks! I wing it with a lazy man’s version using frozen mixed seafood and a seasoned Italian tomato base from the Latin store. Season’s made up it’s mind to get chilly and wet. Tonight’s supper was “Chupe” and a side of ceviche with sweet potato & fried yuca. Both are easy enough to fix and a variety of recipes are readily available on the ‘Net. Buen Provecho! “Peruvian Style Shrimp Chowder - Chupe de Camarones”; shrimp, diced potato, rice, short pieces corn-on-the-cob, green peas, red onion, poached eggs, queso fresco or feta cheese and evaporated milk. Season to suit with hot yellow pepper paste – “aji amarillo”, oregano, garlic and salt & pepper.
