And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Nice picture. Ithink the rungs above the top bunk would not exist - they block direct access to the bunk. Too, there would likely be some coat rack / hooks along the top bunk to temorarily store cast off jackets.
Actually they make it easier as you have something to hold onto as you get on it from the upper bed. Anyway, I see no bedding on the upper "bed" so maybe it is used for storage.
Hopefully on the deck under the roofing where it does more good. Plus would ruin a cool ceiling.
Aggie, you make a good point about the ladder maybe in stowed position. Our cabin had 2 x 4 rungs nailed to 4 x 4 vertical bed posts in vertical position and it was tricky to climb down at dark thirty when deer hunting.

ReplyDeleteI was thinking that might be the stowed position, and when you're ready to bunk the ladder gets pulled out to a comfortable angle.

DeleteI don't see any insulation in that ceiling.
