And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Pretty, but I hope they've got some good flood control and anti-erosion measures in place. Those curves are going to try to break through the narrow isthmi sooner or later.
Having visited all of the continents except Australia (and a bunch of islands), Norway was the only country I ever deployed to where I thought, "This is someplace other than the US where I'd like to live."
After watching the Aussies in the news this past year, they cancelled themselves completely out of contention.
