And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Sped up to look more impressive, but still impressive
Stupid clown was only a couple car lengths behind the car before he attempted to slow down. Bad tires, and/or bad brake usage. Could have easily gone around the car.
There's a major change of speed in that vehicle in front of the rider (and some tailgating). That said, he's coming on too fast to deal with it. I would have said it was a deliberate brake-check by the car he hit but there were no brake lights. He's lucky it had an airfoil he could grip with his butt cheeks.
Most bikers don't know how to turn, or how to brake. I found out from asking them that virtually none of them ever practice doing either. For that matter, they are totally lost if they try to do both at the same time. Gave up asking street riders if they ever thought of taking race track training classes. Most won't even consider it.
I actually had that happen to me, in the car. A guy on a bike was running from the police and hit the rear of my car, an Acura RSX. The hatch glass shattered and he ended up in the car, rear seat was folded down. Police say he was doing about 125 and I was doing 40. He actually survived, broken bones and soft tissue damage.
reminds me of a wreck I had that one time in Oklahoma. They're big on 4-way stop signs there. Lots of busted car parts and cullet(broken glass). I was the one in the Yamaha 125 twin. Got my foot stuck between a Yamaha and a Dodge.
"Oh good... I'll still get to my job interview on time."
ReplyDeleteWrecked the bike, but I bet he didn't drop his iPhone.
ReplyDeleteStuck the dismount. 8.8 / 10.0
ReplyDeleteProbably not fixable anyway, may as well enjoy the ride, and thank his lucky stars.

ReplyDeleteI have been riding for almost 50 years. Most motorcycle accidents are the fault of the 2 wheeler
ReplyDeleteSadly, that's true. I too have ridden for many years. And still do. This rider is a lucky fellow.

ReplyDeleteHave they edited out the brake lights on the car? That is a weird accident if not.
