    1. Has it proven reliable and user-friendly? I need to get a generator. I didn't have one in February when we (Texas) got hit with that stupid freeze. I don't want to be caught without power again, but I don't want to waste money on something that won't work when I need it.

    2. I'd recommend dual fuel (gas/propane) Hard to keep enough fresh gas around and if the power is out to the stations...

  3. I'll never buy anything Westinghouse again. You only get one chance to stick it to me.
    Go with a tried and true company, Troy-Bilt. My 5500 is now 16 years old and still fires up on the first pull with a shot of ether down the throat. I intend to convert it to propane before the summer is gone.
